Critical

Event Registration <= 6.02.02 - PHP Object Injection

Event Registration: Currently marked unpatched

Affected versions: *-6.02.02

Vulnerability type: CWE-502 Deserialization of Untrusted Data

Affected software, patched versions and attribution

The Event Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in versions up to, and including, 6.02.02 via deserialization of untrusted input from the 'reg_form' or 'questions' parameter. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject a PHP Object. No POP chain is present in the vulnerable plugin. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.

Event Registration <= 6.02.02 - SQL Injection

Event Registration: Currently marked unpatched

Affected versions: *-6.02.02

Vulnerability type: CWE-89 Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')

Affected software, patched versions and attribution

The Event Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the ‘submitted_token’ and ‘qanda’ parameters in versions up to, and including, 6.02.02 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

Event Registration: Currently marked unpatched

Affected versions: *-6.02.02

Affected software, patched versions and attribution

The Event Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via attendees first and last name parameters in versions up to, and including, 6.02.02 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping.
