WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System <= 67.7.0 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Privilege Escalation via Account Takeover

WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System: Currently marked unpatched

Affected versions: *-67.7.0

Vulnerability type: CWE-639 Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key

Affected software, patched versions and attribution

The WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in all versions up to, and including, 67.7.0 via the 'MJ_gmgt_gmgt_add_user' function due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to change the email, password, and other details of any user, including Administrator users.

WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System <= 67.7.0 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Local File Inclusion to Privilege Escalation via Password Update

WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System: Currently marked unpatched

Affected versions: *-67.7.0

Vulnerability type: CWE-22 Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')

Affected software, patched versions and attribution

The WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 67.7.0 via the 'page' parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where images and other “safe” file types can be uploaded and included. The Local File Inclusion exploit can be chained to include various dashboard view files in the plugin. One in particular reported by the researcher can be leveraged to update the password of Super Administrator accounts in Multisite environments making privilege escalation possible.

WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System < 67.8.0 - Unauthenticated SQL Injection

WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System: Currently marked unpatched

Affected versions: [*, 67.8.0)

Vulnerability type: CWE-89 Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')

Affected software, patched versions and attribution

The WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via several parameters in the MJ_gmgt_delete_class_limit_for_member, MJ_gmgt_get_yearly_income_expense, MJ_gmgt_get_monthly_income_expense, MJ_gmgt_add_class_limit, MJ_gmgt_view_meeting_detail, and MJ_gmgt_create_meeting functions in all versions up to 67.8.0 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
