This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the hook_newsletter_action() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to unsubscribe newsletter subscribers via a forged request granted they can trick a logged-in user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

User input is Base64 encoded, and split on the ‘;’ character, the third column of which can be manipulated in order to control where the user is redirected to.
